He has written Urdu dialogues for Kalpana Lajmi’s feature film Darmiyaan, and also has written screenplay and dialogues for feature films like Evening Shadows and Kuch Sapney Apne and short film Gulabi Aaina. He has written dialogues for very popular TV serials like Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin,Left Right Left, Radha Ki Betiyaan, etc.

As a lyricist, he has collaborated with well-known music directors like Vishal Bhardwaj and Shubha Mudgal. He has written songs for feature films 68 Pages (Sang Mere), Evening Shadows (Surmaee Shaam), Kuch Sapney Apne (Udaa Udaa, Din Jo Dhal Gaya, Tu Sunn Zara) and TV shows like Rishtey (Ishq Hua Kaise Hua).
